One DS18B20-compatible 1-Wire temperature sensor: address-based reads, classified errors, clone identification.
Reads by ROM address after a broadcast conversion, never by bus index. Keeps DallasTemperature's raw error codes apart, so a power-on reset (the "85 °C" value), weak parasite power, a disconnected sensor and an out-of-range value each have their own error. Identifies genuine Maxim parts and clones via CheckDS18B20 and restores the scratchpad afterwards. Address formatting and CRC-checked parsing, a one-call status copy, no dynamic allocation, host-testable.
