Non-blocking PID controller that runs on its own sample period from the main loop.
Plain C core: derivative on measurement, low-pass filtered derivative, trapezoidal integral, anti-windup. PIDController_Run() never waits: it computes only when the sample period has elapsed on millis(), passes the true elapsed time as dt, stays phase-locked to the sample grid and holds its output in between. Sample periods from 1 ms to minutes.
